“No matter what I do in public office, there is nothing more important to me than securing important investments for the people of Antigonish as their MLA,” said Thompson. “There’s still more work to do, that’s why I am standing as a candidate in the next election to keep building up from what was broken under the previous Liberal government.”
A registered nurse and long-term care administrator prior to her election to the Legislature, Thompson is a key member of Premier Houston’s cabinet, serving as Minister of Health and Wellness.
“Not only has Michelle Thompson played a major role in fixing healthcare after years of damage caused by previous Liberal and NDP governments, she has also worked day in and day out to deliver for the people of Antigonish,” said Premier Tim Houston. “I need Michelle Thompson back as MLA to continue the work of our government to build up Antigonish. We can’t go back to a government that ignores healthcare, neglects seniors, fights with workers and supports the Liberal carbon tax.”
